Your Heart....
It's a massive muscle, pumping blood all through the body by rhythmic contractions.
The average Heart beats approximately 72 beats per minute (BPM). It will beat 2.5 billion times during a lifetime of 66 years.
It beats continually, during sleep, throughout our active day and without verbal command. Sometimes we forget it is there providing Life to us.
The heart was historically seen by some as the seat of the soul and the organ responsible for human thought. The Romans noticed that changing heart rates often corresponding with emotions such as fear, love and excitement.
The term "Heart" can also refer to the core or center of anything..."the Heart of the matter," the most important.
If you don't take care of your body, your Heart will suffer the consequences.
Not eating healthy, getting enough sleep and having added stress and worries to your life will cause complications to your Heart.
I want Jesus to be the "Heart" of me, the very center, the most important.
Pumping His life into me, so I can tell others of His love and mercy.
I want to keep my Heart clean, so nothing can obstruct it or harm it in anyway.
I want to feed myself with good things, the Word of God and rest upon the Lord as often as possible, laying my worries and stress at his feet.
Have a Wonderful Day,
~Shelly'e
