The Basics to Pumpkin Carving...   

I'm sure everyone is very familiar with the following instructions...

just humor me~

Step 1. Pick a pumpkin...some people may choose one from the grocery store, others hand pick theirs from a pumpkin patch. Either way, eveyone works hard to select their "Special Pumpkin"!

Step 2. Dust and wipe it clean, so it shines and shows it's vibrant color. Draw a circle on top of the pumpkin and cut, creating a lid wide enough for your hand to fit inside.

Step 3. With a large spoon, begin scooping out the seeds and pulp. Scraping all residue from inside.

Step 4. Draw a face with permanent marker. Begin cutting, following your pattern. Clean-up and discard unwanted pieces.

Step 5. Last step...Place a votive candle inside to add a glow.

God hand picks us...making us feel special and loved. He dust the filth of everyday life off and opens us up.

He cleans us out, scooping all the lies, hate, bitterness, and deceit...removing all our ugly sins. 

He then carves us a brand new Smiley Face, taking away our sorrow and sadness. He then places His light inside us, so we can glow and show others of His goodness. I am so glad He "Hand Picked" me!

Let His light so shine in you, that others may see Him.
