Food for Thought…
When Jesus met someone, and they had a “need,” when Jesus left them, they weren’t the same. Their need had been met, they were forever changed.
Their sickness was gone, demons vanished, depression diminished, woke from the dead, strength renewed, food refurbished, could walk, speak and see again.
They were changed; they did not remain the same!
A question for all of us…
Are we “really” trying to help Change things around our community, city or town, through Christ within us?
I know we often say that we do..."ACTIONS" speak louder than words!!
The proof is in the potatoes…
1. Have we gone out of our way to show love and kindness?
Or waiting to see if there is something in it for us in return!
2. Have we given a bible study this year or committed to some type of weekly outreach?
Or is our life already to busy with "stuff" every evening that we have no time to reach out to the lost!?
3. Have we brought anyone to a church service or a church outing?
Or is it just to complicated...you would have to go pick them up yourself EVERY SERVICE (oh my word), possibly pay for the gas and a bite to eat after service...watch out, can't give to much, it might cut into my checkbook!!
4. If so, has that person been seeking, received the Holy Ghost or been baptized in His wonderful name?
I hope that if they are seeking, I will do my best to be by their side praying them through...no matter who they are!
5. Has their life been forever changed?
What are we here for?
To better ourselves or to help the many, many lost find their way home?
To tell them of God’s love, goodness, forgiveness, healing power and His saving blood?
Are we about our “Father’s business” or our “own?”
Remember we were once lost...
Here's a good one:
If I stayed out of everyone else's business, then maybe I can focus on my "Father's Business"!
