What Are You Doing With Your Time?

I was thinking about all the appliances and technology we have today. How convenient everything is.

We have so many appliances and gadgets that do more work and thinking for us today...it's supposed to make our life easier and less hectic.

It's supposed to relieve us from being consumed with life and give us more time for God, church, our family and friends.
It has only left us with more time that we fill with "Other Things".

We aren't using our time wisely...we rush around trying to do everything, and in the process we forget about God and what God wants us to do.

I appreciate the gadgets that help us with everyday cooking, cleaning, and learning. But I don't want them to become my crutch...when my appliances and gadgets breakdown...what then?

God intended our days to be different, not cluttered with STUFF! We are so preoccupied, working to make a living and providing for our needs, that we tend to neglect Him.
Take a look at His disciples, they were busy for Him and not for themselves. They were not worried about where their food or clothing was coming from.

Matthew 6: 30-32 reads...
30. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewith we shall be clothed?

32. (For all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all things.

If you make Time for God, He will "give" Time to you and your family.

God help us each day to remember that you are in control, you know our needs and you will supply them.

So when an unexpected bill has come up and we are in need....don't race around working overtime...PRAY...God WANTS to provide for us!

We are all so guilty of not having enough faith...we really do worry about things, instead of talking to the Lord and waiting for His answer.

Bro. Ikerd once said, "We don't see miracles like they do in foreign countries because we are NOT Desperate enough...we are not in need, because we feel like we can provide for ourselves, by working to get what we want."

God help us to use our time wisely and for You. When we have needs, help us to turn to You and not rely so heavily on our "Stuff" to get us through our situation.
