Some call it Autumn, some call it Fall, however you say it, "it" is just around the corner....
Pumpkin pie and turkey become the familiar smell in the kitchen, and family and friends are joined together for a special day of Thanks.
The air becomes crisp and cool, the leaves begin to change their colors, and fall to the ground.
Although it is truly beautiful and amazing to watch all the leaves change their colors, if we are not careful, we as Christians can become just like the Autumn leaf, and fall away.
As Autumn nears, our days become shorter, and the air becomes colder. Cold air cannot hold as many water molecules as hot air, leaving no moisture for the leaf.
All through the Summer and Monsoon the warmer air drops it's moisture upon the leaves to keep them, and the tree feed. Now that it is much cooler, the drops of moisture is reduced little to nothing, and the tree sheds it leaves to protect itself from dying.
We need to keep the moisture of the Holy Ghost in our lives or we will surely die off or fall away from the body of Christ. Just as in the warmer temps, the dew drops and continually feeds the leaves and tree.
It is proven that we need to stay "Hot" for God, not cold or lukewarm, this will keep us properly fed and the moisture will keep us connected to the body of Christ.
We need to pray for one another for strength, that none of us fall away.
Have a Great Day,
~Shellye
